About the Role
• Ensures adequate supply of stock is at station to run machines.
• Lifting, positioning, and removing workpieces from machines.
• Help in assembly, forming, fitting, and welding.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock and work in process.
• Actively watches the condition of the product being produced.
• Accurately measures and checks parts for compliance.
• Fills out production reports and labels products as needed.
• Picks up/cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment after use.
• Will use a computer to operate CNC machines.
Requirements
Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
Able to problem-solve.
Job-related computer skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs. at a time. This position involves a lot of bending, twisting, and lifting.
Must be able to stand for long hours, sit occasionally, use hands, walk, hear, and have good
vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to understand and follow DS safety policies and procedures.
Must be able to work 10-hour shifts.
