Truck Drivers must have and maintain a current CDL driver's license and health card. Must be familiar with laws and regulations. Responsible to tie their loads down in a safe and proper manner per DOT regulations. Must be able to read maps and learn to use our ELD. Most of driving is day trips and back home at night with minimal overnight runs.
Machine operators must be able to learn and follow all rules and operations to safely run equipment assigned too (shear, brake, coper, beam-line, drill-line plate, machines, etc. Report when machines are not running correctly. Keep area clean and safe to work in, be able to read tape measure and have decent mathematical understanding. Must learn to run overhead cranes and machinery after training.
Must be able to read tape measurer, have decent mathematical understanding, be able to run overhead cranes, able to run and operate hand tools and machinery safely. Welders must already be or become an AWS certified welder (after probation period). The position requires being able to work on your feet all day long. Safety glasses and steel toed boots required, along with good attendance.
Duties will include costing of estimate files to support the Sales and Project Management department, and maintenance of pricing database. Position is excellent for a candidate that enjoys a fast paced and schedule driven business day. Familiarity with steel and construction terms is a plus, and past buying or purchasing experience is beneficial. General business computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office. Candidate should be comfortable in a commercial construction environment.
